Chairperson Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) Naheed Memon has said that the Government of Sindh is moving aggressively to transform the regulatory environment of the province. Addressing members of American Business Council of Pakistan and discussing SBI's role, she said introducing business reforms, setting up special economic zones and extending investment opportunities in Karachi in particular and Sindh in general were top on SBI's agenda. While talking about investment opportunities in Sindh, she said that the SBI's aim is to make Sindh an easy and most competitive place to do business and invest.

The government has formed Sindh Investment Climate Improvement Cell (SICIC)- a dedicated unit for execution of the reform agenda. Naheed Memon who is also the focal person for doing business reforms in Sindh said that introducing reforms is part of the larger plan developed with the help of World Bank to introduce business reforms at the federal and provincial level.

On the occasion, in a presentation of American Business Council of Pakistan it was informed that the ABC is one of the largest investors group in Pakistan- currently, they have 65 members and most of them are fortune 500 companies. They operate in various sectors including healthcare, financial services, information technology, chemicals and fertilizers, energy, FMCG, food and beverages, oil and gas and others.
